I'm Tonisha, a passionate cosmetology artist who takes pride in empowering others through education and creativity, particularly in the realm of textured and coily hair. From the moment I began to understand the unique complexities of my own hair, I realized the need for greater knowledge and representation when it comes to textured hair care. Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to not only educating others but also building a community of allies around the development and appreciation of natural textures.

My mission is to create safe, inclusive spaces where women no longer have to face fear, confusion, or frustration in their hair journeys due to a lack of education or diverse representation. I believe that every curl, coil, and wave deserves to be celebrated and properly cared for, and I’m committed to ensuring that all individuals feel empowered and equipped with the knowledge to embrace their natural beauty.

As someone who’s walked the journey of textured hair from a young age, I know the challenges and triumphs that come with it. Growing up, academics and sports were key in my life, and like many others, I was taught to take the path of least resistance with my thick, curly coils. At a young age, my mom applied a Just For Me relaxer, a decision that was made for convenience but lacked the understanding of how to truly nurture and love my natural hair. Today, I’m honored to play a part in changing the narrative by inspiring other artists to be brave, bold, and open in their work, fostering positive, empowering experiences for people of all textures.

I am proud to be part of the movement that embraces and elevates textured hair, and I strive to continue building a space where both clients and fellow stylists can learn, grow, and celebrate the beauty of diversity in hair.
